good morning!

Hello everyone. The first weekend in Oct. will work for me. There are 2 weddings in Sept. and I was afraid the one might mess things up but it is the wekend before.

How is my beautiful grandson this morning? I hope the sleeping is going back to normal. I know it makes everyones day a lot happier.

I have to get ready for work----but I actually bgot ;this thing to work!!

Hello all

Seems like this blog is dying a slow death but wanted to say hello to everyone. Jack went to the doctor today to get weighed and was 12 lbs 12 ounces. Feels a lot heavier than that when you hold him in your arms. Work is going well but have another test to take soon so need to start studying for that. We're supposed to be in Bowling Green for a wedding next weekend so Jack can spend some more time at home. He's quite the traveler so far having spent half the weekends of his life on the road but it's wearing us out and takes him a while to get back in a routine. Jordan is doing well- her mom, Aunt Monica, and her two kids visited today. Dinner is on the table so talk to you later.

Back from Owensboro

We headed to O'boro for a cousin of Jordan's wedding this weekend. She has always been close friends to him or we probably wouldn't have made the trip since we were a little afraid of the 3 hour drive. It ended up going very well though. Jack fell asleep here and didn't wake up until we were on Frederica St just a few blocks from Jordan's grandparents. He slept through most the ceremony and into the reception. This morning I took him for a walk and we got to watch the sun rise over the river. We even looked at a few boats at the marina and we discussed which one he wanted to have. He has very good taste in boats and I'd be happy to point out a few he liked if anyone is looking for an early christmas gift. Anyway, good trip.

Hello again everyone

Sorry that I haven't exactly been great about returning phone calls over the last few days. I've had a few things going on. Right now my beautiful wife and baby boy are taking naps so I thought I would say hi. Jack had his first doctors appointment this morning and is doing well. He is still slightly gaundiced so we have a follow up appointment on Thursday.

Also to make things a little more fun and challenging for Jordan, it appears I've got the cold that Jordan had when we went to the hospital. I'm now on a quest to find the cure for the common cold in the next few hours. Modern medicine hasn't been successfull over the last 100 years but I have better motives than they did.

Thank you to the lovely kids who set off fire crackers in the neighboorhood and just work up Jack. When does teenager hunting season open? Adios.

You forgot the rest of that statement,and I know my husband instructecd you when you got married! It is "Yes dear, you are absolutely right! We are so excited for you guys and so very thankful that Jordan is doing ok. We had around 50 people saying prayers for you guys last night and they are still checking on you. Eric said, "I can not wait to hold him!" They are very excited about a new potential baseball player! We love you guys! Please give Jordan a gentle hug from all of us and Jackson too. Here a few pictures from last night. Haven't had much time to do much with them this morning and I'm sure once we settle into a little more of a routine and I kick a few people out of here I'll add some more and maybe a video if get time.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I know everyone held off calling us directly which I definitely appreciate but starting this afternoon once mom and Jordan's parents are out of here people can start calling.

Good morning Reeves FAMILY!! Jordan, I hope you had a restful night (yeah, I know, not much chance) but I hope it for you anyway. I'm sure Chris's snoring kept most of the floor up all night :) Chris, not that I'm complaining or anything, but there seems to be a severe shortage of pictures of the newest family member. Please rectify!! Kathy sent me a pic via phone--He looks like a big handsome boy-of course we knew he would be--look at his mama! And you're not too shabby either Papa.

Anyway, just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you.

Off to the Hospital!

I'm sure I'll be in touch with most of you throughout the day but my press agent, aka Katie, will probably be the one calling.

Everything is packed up and it looks like we are moving into the hospital.

A few Pictures

I'm trying to set up a site on photobucket.com so I can post baby pictures online and maybe a video if I can get that up and running while still in the hospital. So I'm trying this out I thought I would post a few pictures of Jordan's new ride and the nursery. What started out as some new paint ended up with new paint, chair rail, baseboard, carpet, closet door track, and not to mention all the furniture. Oh, and new blinds and curtains courtesy of Jordan's mom.

Drifting Away in Go Cart Fun

Eric's 12th birthday party at the farm last Friday was highlighted by a drifting contest Saturday afternoon. Peggy's Speedster produced some awesome driving in the rain soaked grass around the big bush in the front yard. Craig won the contest by almost going down the hill onto New Cut Road. When Kathy found out later what had happened, Steve was fired from the go cart entertainment committeefor allowing such dangerous behavior. Kathy chose Chris Carper to replace Steve since Chris is "much more mature".

New car!

We bought a new Mercury Mariner today so Jordan and Jack could have something a little safer and more reliable. Took most of the day but it was well worth it. Thanks to someone who let us use their Xplan, we also got a pretty good deal without much haggling.

Josh, the house looks nice. Hope to see it some time soon but something else may delay our trip to the ville.

Katie, thanks for setting this up. Now we just have to teach mom how to use a computer. I think Jackson might be making his first post on here before mom. We'll see.

Just so everyone knows, when the little one shows up I'm going to try to post pictures of Jack online. I'll post a link later.

I have now invited you all to post on this blog (you should have received an email), so you can register your own name if you would like, and still post on this blog- rather than everyone logging in with the same user ID, etc. I don't think it really matters which of these you do, but I just discovered that as a possibility. Sorry for the confusion- I am just figuring this all out.
